Swap Out Your Skin Care with These Highly-Effective Natural Ingredients

1. Swap your skin care: replace cleanser with raw honey
Raw honey—which is unheated, unprocessed, and unpasteurised to ensure that all the nutrients are not destroyed—is the perfect alternative to store-bought skin care. As raw honey is anti-bacterial, it makes for a potent acne treatment. With continuous use, you will reduce breakouts and can finally say goodbye to those angry red bumps. Besides that, raw honey is also filled to the brim with nutrients, enzymes, vitamins, antioxidants, and skin-boosting acids. The abundance of goodness in it means that it not only effectively cleanses your face but also leaves your skin nourished, healthy, and supple.

2. Swap your skin care: replace toner with apple cider vinegar

Get the ACV with the “mother” in it—basically, unrefined, unpasteurised, and unfiltered ACV with strands of protein, enzymes, and good bacteria—and dilute it with equal part water (feel free to adjust the ratio according to your preference). Then, soak a cotton pad and apply all over the face for radiant skin.

I would be remiss if I do not include nature’s most potent elixir: virgin coconut oil (VCO). In addition to moisturising, VCO also removes dead skin cells, protects the skin from sunburn, and fortifies the epidermal tissue. Even better, it has antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and antioxidant properties! So, you can be sure that your skin is free of all nasty elements upon frequent use of VCO. In fact, research has even shown that VCO helps with skin conditions like dermatitis. Talk about a powerhouse, huh?

4. Swap your skin care: replace sheet mask with avocado
Delicious and useful! This little green beauty is packed with vitamin E, vitamin F, and essential fatty acids. These nutrients help to slow down the signs of aging and wrinkle formation. The avocado is also rich in various antioxidants, ensuring the nourishment of dry, dehydrated, and flaky skin.
Just mix mashed ripe avocado with 1 tablespoon of honey, apply to the face, and leave the mixture on. A quick rinse after 20 minutes will reveal flawless glowing skin.
